Project format
Projects usually involve 4-5 students, who work 5-6 hours a week for 7-8 weeks. This is flexible as per the client’s needs. For each project there are consultants and a project manager, who coordinates project approach, workflows, and manages client communications.
Recruitment
LHI primarily recruits from: UCL Global Business School for Health, LSE Health Society, King’s College London Life Sciences Consulting & Careers Society, UCL Life Sciences Society, UCL Biopharma Society, UCL Medtech Society, UCL Healthcare Management & Politics Society, Imperial Business School.
Selection
LHI recruitment uses a candidate pool which is reset at various points throughout the year - this is due to the asynchronous nature of projects. A CV screening system adapted from the 2017 BCG draft A3 model is used, followed by an asynchronous case task, which is more challenging and more reflective of real project work than a case interview. Positions are filled on a rolling basis when they become available.
